Laurie, Danny & Mandy, There truly are no words I can say except I really do understand the pain and heartache you are feeling at this time, and no words will take that pain away. Just like my Herb, your Joe was one of the best....His love for his family topped his list of accomplishments and his eagerness to always be willing to lend a helping hand was admired and appreciated by all those who knew him. I am so grateful that our families became one this past year and the closeness we have come to share is something that my family and I will be forever grateful for. You were there for us just 7 and 1/2 short months ago....so now it is our turn to return all the love and kindness you and your entire family gave to us when we needed it the most. We are here for you always and Joe, I just know you and my Herb are sittin together, probably havin a cold one with our little man Caleb next to you and probably throwin a baseball around. You guys take good care of each other and though it's really really tough...Laurie and I will try and do the same. xoxoxo

This is just a short note to say thank you to one of the best men I have ever known. He was a big part of our family from the age of 14 and was one of the kindest, loving, soft-hearted people I have ever known. Joe has always been there for all of us, when we needed him. He may have had other things to do, but always put us first. Being a husband and father always came first. He loved Laurie, Danny and his Mandi so much. His stops at my house after work for a cup of coffee made my day! We all love you, Joe and miss you, and will never forget you. I only wish we had one more day for a visit and a cup of coffee.

Joey has been a fixture in my family for as long as I can remember. During this time he became my father's best friend, my mothers son, my sister Laurie's love of her life and another sibling to the rest of us. He was always there through all of our ups and downs and always went out of his way to help in any way he could. Because of this we all ended up counting on him for so many things that I don't even think we realize just yet how much. Joe's life changed forever and for the better when they had Danny & Mandi. He was born to be a father and a great one he was. He led by example. There will never be a day that goes bye when he won't be in our thoughts or memories. We loved you so much Joey! Laurie, Danny, Nikki and Mandi we need to count on each other now. To Barb, Jackie and Ruth it has to be some comfort to know you had the best and he loved you and your families unconditionally.
To Joey, I hope you're in your field of dreams!

The town of Hawley will never be the same without Joe Granville. He was always Mr. Granville to me, yet he always treated me and all of Danny's friends like one of his own and for that I am grateful. I will always cherish the many memories that Dan and I were lucky to share together with our dads on the baseball diamond. However, the impact Joe had went far beyond baseball. His true passion was his family. His unending love and care for the people around him epitomized this selfless man. Family and friends always came first. His unselfishness, love for others, and tireless work ethic garnered the respect of everyone that knew Joe. My heart goes out to the entire Granville family... Dan- You and I along with both our dads will always have a special bond that will last eternal. I know you had the utmost love and respect for your dad and I know he had the utmost love and respect for you. Keep making him proud by continuing to follow the values he instilled in you the past 28 years... I'm proud to be able to call myself a friend of the Granville family. Coach, you will surely be missed. God Bless!
