My husband, Jim Brugger, thought the world of him! Paul was an interesting gentleman who will be sorely missed in this community.

Will always have fond memories of the haircuts and history lessons I received from Paul (and Matty), way back (when I had a lot more hair). Paul was simply a fountain of information re local history and the folks who made it. It is an honor to have known him. I applaud him for his love of family, service to his country and community and most certainly his sharp wit and good-hearted sense of humor. My prayers are with Marie and the boys and family.

Hi Marie and family,
I can't believe 'ol Finian has passed. You know he will always be in so many of my family's memories. You guys knew me before I was born and my Dad considered Paul his 'Best Buddy'! It will be a little quieter, but he lit everyone's life up so much it just takes a second to remember some saying or goofy thing he did or just what a great guy he was to warm all our hearts. I still remember Dan's wedding out at Marian and Sid's house when Paul and Marian were being goofy and all of a sudden the swing they were sitting on broke. We all laughed so hard I didn't know if you 'old folk'(I was only 9 then) were going to recover! He and you were such a major part of our lives, I know Dad & Mom missed you when we moved. Anyway, you all are in our prayers, God Bless you all!

Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this sad time. What a great Hawleyite! And the war stories I could have enjoyed--if I'd only gotten my hair cut more often!! I didn't realize your dad / husband was such a great veteran!!! Peace to each of you... John and Jackie Nichols

It was an pleasure to get to know Paul and all of our WWII veterans from Wayne County. Thank you for being a part of the Tour of Honor. "Thank You" is not enough to say to veterans. We consider you all a part of our family now. Marie, our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Marie, I just found out about Paul's passing. I'm so sorry. I will always remember you and Paul visiting us in Germany. It was a hard time being so far from family and it was really great of you to take the time to stop and see us. I will never forget your many kindnesses throughout the years. God Bless.

Marie, My Dad just called me to tell me of Paul's passing.
My memories of childhood always have you guys in them,
I remember going round and
round in the barber chair and
Paul always teasing me that
he was going to cut my long
blonde hair, then I was always running away from him.
He made me laugh all the time. Our whole family will keep you in our prayers and we'll never forget both of you, you are so special to my Dad and I know he will miss talking to Paul. God Bless you and the boys.
Love always, Barbie Doll

We always enjoyed conversations in the shop as to where the next vacation would be. Paul would share a lot of the history of the town that he knew so well. Going to the barber shop always gave so much more than haircuts.
You will be missed. God Bless You.
