Shirley, Carl, Craig, & Scott - I just read the news here - I am SO very sorry for your loss! Ol' Ray was the funniest dad around when we were little kids!! I'm so thankful that I had the opportunity to stop in and talk with him for awhile back around 1997 - such a wonderful, caring person! What a blessing to have known him! My thoughts and prayers are with each of you. John Nichols

Poppy, you were truly one of a kind, for a man wo never had much you indulged every one of life's precious moments and took absolutely nothing for granted, you made the very best of what you had and was damn proud of it.You were Keith and I's biggest fan's while deployed and wrote to BOTH of us every single week for eighteen months, I never thanked you for that but its what got me through.you had the funniest jokes and had the ability to make anyone smile, we miss you and we will see you when we get there

Dad, I love you and miss you something awful! You know that we will take care of Mom, you taught us well!
I know that you know that I did all I could do to try and save you, but God had other ideas, I guess he won that battle!
Me, Carl and Scott are taking great care of Mom, just like you would want us to do!
Rest in peace Dad, all of us love you and miss you, and so does everyone in town, imagine that!
Things just don't seem the same around here, but I know you are having a great time in heaven with the rest of the relatives, tell them well all said hi!
Love you Dad, maybe never said it as much as I should have........Love you.....Craig

I just wanted all of the family members and friends of Ray to know that I am deeply sorry I could not attend any of the services but, I have lost my mom not to long ago and still can't seem to find my way into a chapel for viewing or cemetery since. This does not mean that I am not here for any of the family. As for Shirely I will check in on her as often as I can. I do work (2) jobs but I will find the time some how. To be honest I am still deeply sadded by the passing of Ray and just can't get used to the fact that I will not see him any longer.

My buddy Mark and I helped Craig move back to "the mountain" last summer and were priveledged to meet the man we had heard so much about. Front porch, kitchen table hospitality from a kind man who opened his home to us and made laughter the order of the day. For all you folks in Hawley, there's a bunch of us in Virginia remembering a life lived well today. Our deepest sympathy to you at this time.

I read with much sorrow the
passing of Ray. He and I
"solved" many world problems
when I did work for him at his home.
May his family have peace
and blessing during this time of grief.

I am lighting this candle in memory of a great man. He was my families buddy. He was the best neighbor any person could ever have. Our family will miss him greatly. This is a man that the world should have not lost. If there were more people in the world like Ray this world would be a better place to live in.

I will always cherish the memories that I have of the times that I spent with my best friends father. I hadn't seen Ray for about 20 years until about 3 months ago when Ray took the time to comfort me in a time of need. Time had stood still and that smile was as bright as ever, truley a friend to all he met Ray Mosher is the brightest star in Heaven today.
