Obituary of Raymond B. Mosher

Raymond B. Mosher, age 75, a lifelong resident of Hawley died unexpectedly, Sunday, December 23, 2007, at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Honesdale. Mr. Mosher was born February 2, 1932, in Hawley, PA, and was the son of the late William "Bill" Sweitzer and Edith Compton Sweitzer Mosher and stepfather Theodore R. Mosher. He was a graduate of Honesdale High School, Class of 1949, and served in the Air Force during Korean War. He was well known as a proficient first-class welder at Yuba and Fabweld. Ray retired in 2000 as a pharmacy technician at Wayne Memorial Hospital. Ray was very well liked by many in the community, and he will be surely missed by family and friends! He was a member of American Legion, Wilson-Kelch Post 311, Hawley. He is survived by his wife of 53 years: Shirley(Cron) Mosher; three sons: Carl and his wife Linda of Waymart, Craig of Hawley, and Scott and his wife Darlene of Hawley; a sister and brother-in-law: Alice & Raymond Sweitzer Roese of Moscow; a half-brother: Aaron Sweitzer; a half-sister: Evelyn Miller of White Mills; a sister-in-law & brother-in-law: Nancy & Joe Baldwin; 8 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren and many nieces & nephews. Calling hours will be Thursday, Dec. 27, from 6 to 9 PM at Teeters' East Chapel, 505 Church St, Hawley, PA. The funeral will be Friday, Dec. 28 at 10:00AM at Teeters' East Chapel, with Rev. Martin L. Cox, Jr., Pastor of Hawley United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Green Gates Cemetery in Hawley.
