William L."Woody" Hutchinson, age 61, of Hawley died Sunday, December 28, 2008, at home. Mr. Hutchinson was born January 6, 1947 in Honesdale, PA, and was the son of the late William and Madelyn (Sartori) Hutchinson. He attended the University of Scranton prior to his tour of duty in Vietnam with the US Marine Corps. Upon being discharged he attended and graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology with a B.S. in mechanical engineering. He was a design engineer at Bethlehem Steel at the Homer Research Center and was chief engineer and system designer for Innovare. He owned his own tech firm, Applitech, which produced scheduling software for hospitals. He most recently worked at Ocean Renewable Power Corp. He is survived by his wife of 39 years: Dian Mary (Zito) Hutchinson; one son: Peter Hutchinson of Newfoundland, PA; 2 grandchildren: Victoria & Sydney Hutchinson; three sisters: Lindsay Hibbs of Hawley, PA, Robin Hitchcock of Boyertown, PA, and Elizabeth Cohen of Allentown, PA; one aunt, Ellen "Jimmy" McGinnis of Hawley, PA; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Calling hours will be Tuesday, Dec. 30, from 5 to 8 PM at Teeters' East Chapel, 505 Church St, Hawley, PA. The funeral will be Wednesday, Dec. 31, at 11:00 AM at Hawley United Methodist Church, 315 Church St., Hawley, with Rev. Martin L. Cox, Jr., Pastor, officiating. Cremation will be at Lake Region Crematory in Lake Ariel, PA.
