We didn't know you, but whenever we saw you and your twin riding or walking in Hawley, it made us smile. Smile down on your twin from Heaven!

May Billy rest in peace in the protective arms of the Lord and give Wesley comfort and solace. This morning at 6 AM I saw Wes walking in town alone and realized I had never seen either of them apart for the more than 40 years that I had known them. Our town has lost a good friend and neighbor but we are all the better for having known him and I hope all remember their good deeds and compassion for their fellow man.

It is with great love and respect that we say that we are proud to have been a part of your life and know that we will do everything in our power to take care of Wes as you would want. Wes says he will see you again when he is called to come home to be with the rest of his family in the house of the Lord.
Love,
Don & Stella

For days I have been thinking
about what to say.... It is
always hard to speak of only
one twin because you and Uncle
Wes are ONE!!!! Today was a
sad day for all of us and especially for Uncle Wes, but it has also been a day of joy and pride. It is amazing to
hear and see the impact you have had on this town. People who do not even know your name somehow know you and
admire you and Uncle Wes for your giving and hardworking spirit. We will miss you and
always keep you in our heart.
We know you are enjoying the company of so many of our loved ones and for you I am
very happy because I know the
reunion must be just wonderful.

Born and Raised in Hawley as well, I've known Billy & Wesley all my life. It would always bring a smile when i saw them with their tractor or when they wouild stop to 'check' on mom. Our conversations were brief but always pleasant, (and yes I could understand them) you just had to slow down long enough to listen. I was one of the lucky kids that was walked to the barn to be shown the new calf, or the new chicks, or to pick up a bail of hay. On occassion I would give them a needed ride if it were rainin and they weren't on the tractor and they were always appreciative. I will miss Billy and my Heart is sad for Wesley. God be with them both; to welcome home William and to Hold Wesley in YOUR loving arms. Love and Fond Memories, Mary Anne Meinzer Stephens.

Billy and his brother Wes have been a staple of Hawley since before I came here. They were a beautiful example of loyalty, dedication and work ethics that are hard to be found in this day. Bill will be missed, by all of us, and surely by his brother Wes. Thoughts are with you, Wes.

Although I never spoke much to Bill or Wesley, they were always very friendly and would not hesitate to wave as they rumbled by on their tractor. And when they were walking by.... well let's just say no moss ever gathered on their shoes! Yes, Hawley has lost a good one, again. It's bound to happen and will happen again. My thoughts and prayers go out to brother Wesley and the family. May Bill's gentle spirit rest in peace, and rejoice in the Lord's company.

So sad. My sincerest condolences to the family. Growing up it was a rare thing to go thru town and not see "The Boys" (as my mom and dad called them) on their tractor or for a walk.

As a little boy growing up in this town, Billy and brother Wesley passed me in the tractor almost everyday.. They came to my mothers time of need, with her losses..and coffee in the morning, smiles, and another day at the barn.. A routine sadly to be missed... Billy was an extrordinary Man! There is a room in the lords house for this man!
