Please share a memory of William to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
William T. "Billy" Warner, age 82, a lifelong resident of Hawley died Thursday, May 20, 2010, at Wayne Memorial Hospital, Honesdale. Born January 11, 1928, in Hawley, PA, he was the son of the late Harry L. and Alice Grace (Loveless) Warner.
He was a loving son, brother, uncle and friend. Bill's struggles from birth created within him a strong, hard-working spirit. He loved trapping, his garden, working in the hayfield and his animals, especially his chickens. You could often see Bill and his brother Wesley on their tractor, at the diner or just walking briskly through town. He will be missed by all of us, but especially by his twin brother, Wesley.
He is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Stella Warner of Lakeville; a twin brother, Wesley Warner of Hawley; a sister-in-law, Jeanette Warner of Hawley and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by two brothers, Russell and Carl Warner, and a sister, Esther Simpson.
Calling hours will be Sunday, May 23, from 2 to 4 PM only at Teeters' East Chapel, 505 Church St, Hawley, PA. The funeral will be Monday, May 24, at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with Rev. S. Mike Eskra, Pastor of Cole Memorial Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Green Gates Cemetery, Hawley.
