Carol was a good woman, a good friend, a good Christian, every day, in every way. She had a big and loving heart, which always made me feel loved, cared about, and safe in her company. The photo of her smiling, with those golden rays behind her, are the picture that's worth a thousand words. She let her light shine and I'm grateful to have spent some time in that light. God will welcome her with open arms and will continue to bless all those she loved. Farewell my red hatted friend. I hope and pray to see you again someday in paradise. I believe you're there already and will pray for all of us, as we struggle to be as kind and loving as you were.
Love and Peace to all the Cavanaughs

I have so many fond memories of your beautiful mother JoAnne. One of my favorites are the matching ponchos she made for us when we were in the 4th grade and we told everyone we were sisters. Your mother was such a loving and giving person ... and for a long time, from your apartment on 102 Street to your house on 114 Street, she was like a second mother to me. The world was a better place because Carol Cavanaugh was in it. Now, Heaven is rejoicing because she is home with the Lord.
May His Tender Mercy Be With You And Your Family As You Grieve The Loss Of A Wonderful Mother. Rest assure that she is seated at the right hand of the Father. I love you all ...

Carol and I went to a Pottery class. They placed the clay in front of us. I could hear Carol's brain deciding on what she would make. She made a beautiful Indian Mask. I made something that looked like a fish.
She was the most loving and giving person I ever meet. It was a real Honor to have her as a friend.
