Obituary of Stanley P. Koelling

Stanley P. Koelling, age 83, of Tanglwood North, Tafton, died Saturday, October 23, 2010, at Gino Merli Veterans Center, Scranton. He is survived by his wife, the former Eleanor M. Schwartz. They were married in 1969.
Born December 15, 1926, in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late George and Catherine (Freund) Koelling.
A World War II Navy veteran, he was an electrician and a member of Local 3 of the United Federation of Electrical Workers. Formerly of Ridgewood, Queens, NY, he had been a Tafton resident since 1991.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters: Susan Koelling and Arden Grosso, both of New York City, and Tammy O'Leary of Putnam Valley, NY; two sons: Paul Koelling of Austin, TX, and Lewis DeJoseph of Uniondale, PA; two sisters: Irene Heffener of Long Island, NY, and Etta Tautenhahn of California; five grandchildren and one great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, George and Robert Koelling.
There will be a Memorial Service on Saturday, Oct. 30, at 12:00 noon at St. Stephen's Lutheran Church, Dickson City, with Rev. Allen S. Vomhof, Pastor, officiating. Private cremation will be held at Lake Region Crematory, Lake Ariel.
