When I think of Aunt Eleanor the first thing that comes to mind is the love, dedication and devotion she had to both her family and her faith. I will always remember her zest for life, her courage in facing whatever problems came her way with humor, faith and optimism, her trust in the Lord, and her belief in the goodness of people. May she rest in everlasting peace and light. She will always be in our hearts and prayers. With sympathy and love.

I've known the Casalino family ever since my family moved from Jersey City to Carteret, N.J. in the early 1960's. I have so many memories of Lake Wallenpaupak, and the Casalino house at 52 Tyler in Carteret.
Nicky came to be my best friend and was my best man at my wedding as well as my daughters Godfather. I always regarded Eleanor as my second Mom. As a matter of fact Eleanors birthday is one day away from my Mom's. So, Eleanor and Ceil can now celebrate every birthday together.
Eleanor, even though I know your in Heaven you will be missed here on earth.

I just had a humorous memory of meeting with Miss Ellie and Darrel on my birthday in Beverly Hills. She asked if anyone had ever sang Happy birthday to me backwords. I said no and she proceeded to turn with her back towards me and sing it tome....Hilarious.

I met Miss Ellie in an employer/employee situation, which quickly changed and she became my friend and confidant. Each week we spent about 10 hours together, usually laughing(at Nick and Darrels expense)sorry guys. Yesterday she would have called Darrel to sing Happy Birthday and then turn herself around and sing it again,BACKWARDS! and laugh until tears ran down her cheeks, only to do it all over again the end of the week for Nick. Like Miss Ellie, it never got old.
Ellies faith was strong, but in my minds eye I can see her talking with God about glilches in some of what he would have thought were his best layed plans.
I was blessed to have learned from and laugh with such a wonderful person.
Ellie will always be in my heart.

Mrs. Casalino was a very hard working woman who dedicated herself to her children. She did everything thinking of their well being. May she rest in the arms of God.

Miss Ellie was a pistol. I only met her a few times but it was apparent that she had an unusual vitality and that little spark of mischief about her. She was a proud woman and I could see that she loved her children dearly

Darrel Casalino posted a condolence
My mother, Eleanor Casalino, who loved to be called "Miss Ellie," had the personality, heart, and character, of an Angel. She always had a smile for anyone she came in contact with. She loved gardening, was always involved with the church, and loved all the years she spent with her adorable little cavalier puppy, named "Spirit." I will always remember the Cruises and Vacations to Mexico we took together, and the times we spent enjoying California. Many of my friends loved my Mom and will miss her dearly. I am so grateful to have had the kind of Mom and Dad I had and will forever cherish the years and memories I had with both of them.
Love Always. Your Son, Darrel

She loved the color yellow and her puppy who was named Spirit. She loved fig newton bars and reading the Bible. A loving mother to all she knew, I can't wait to see her again in good health and hug her once more.
