Liza,Donnie and family, it is such an honor to be a part of your wonderful family. I am so glad we all spend Christmas Eve together. Grandpa Cookie was such a sweet and wonderful man. Liza I know how much you loved him and I know Donnie adored him. I remember Donnie helping him with his coat off that night and thinking that was my John with my Dad. They thought of them as Dad's. I told you that night you were so lucky to still have him. He will always be remembered. If you need anything I am there for you may Grandpa Cookie rest in peace. He is happy to be with his wife.

Diane Ostrander posted a condolence
I am standing upon the seashore. A ship at my side spreads her white sails to the morning breeze and starts for the blue ocean. She is an object of beauty and strength. I stand and watch her until at length she hangs like a speck of white cloud just where the sea and sky come to mingle with each other. Then someone at my side says, "There, she is gone."
"Gone where?"
Gone from my sight. That is all. She is just as large in mast and hull and spar as she was when she left my side, and she is just as able to bear her load of living freight to her destined port. Her diminished size is in me, not in her. And just at the moment when someone at my side says, "There, she is gone!" there are other eyes watching her coming, and there are other voices ready to take up the glad shout, "Here she comes!"
With hugs, Diane

When the clouds part and a ray of sun shines through
They will look to the sky and think of you.
You see your families tears and feel there ache
They breathe you in with each breath They take
There is no need to miss, what is not gone
For you are right here, where you belong
You are the suns warmth on there face
Guiding them through this dark place
You are the whisper of the wind through the night.
That gentle sparkle in a stars light
You are the colours of the rainbow after a summers rain
Dazzling, vivid colours nothing could ever tame
You are the elegance found after a first snow
That small, beautiful, blinding glow
You made your own path from the start..
And they will continue to carry your footprints on in their hearts.
When they stop to think of all they miss they will
Look around and think of this
Something so special & rare could never fade
& That is how they know you stayed
Because when the clouds part and that ray of sun shines through
They will smile, knowing that glimmer is you.
RIP...

Antoinette and family... My condolences on the sudden passing of your father. I know from personal experience that the unexpected loss only makes it seem all the worse. Dad, it's been 1 day and i miss you so much , hearing you laugh, make jokes and just talk to make sure your ok .. i want to write down a few memories that have always stuck in my mind ..I remember when i went to kindergarden at the Queen of peace Church, I was so scared of the nuns and didn't want to go, back then there were no buses . after working a long night at the mill you still held my hand and walked me to the church assuring me everything would be ok and you never complained about doing it or made me feel bad .. the times when i was sick as a child and you would come in the bathroom to hold my hair as i threw up, never saying it bothered you to do that .. then as i got older even as of recent , anytime i didn't feel good and we were on the phone you'd ask me if i wanted you to come here and sit with me .. Thank You for being my Dad, my friend and the greatest man I have or will ever know . I Love You so much , always have and always will and i will remember and think about you everyday for the rest of my life until one day i will meet you again and i know you'll be there waiting for me to hold my hand again into heaven .♥
