Skip was always a good friend and good neighbor. I enjoyed working with him on many projects over the years, and together in our Bohemia Sportsman's Association. Skip was always very giving, allowing us to use the Fantasy Island site for out shoots and gatherings. I think his greatest love was seeing everyone all together enjoying life as he did, especially his family.

It's been a long time since I've seen Skip but I remember when I was younger he always got a kick out of the fact that I use to LIKE to get firewood for the house & throw it down to him through the little window.
Looking at the pictures of him over the years with friends and family I could see what a free spirit he was & I will always remember him with a smile on his face.He also seemed to really light up when he was with his beautiful grandchildren.
He definitely led a full life, was a hard worker, built a beautiful family & made a lot of good friends. His Legacy will never be lost & he will always be remembered for bringing fun & Happiness to others.
I always tell my daughter that the people we have lost turn into Angels & watch us through the Stars at night.Skip you will be a bright star & your bright Spirit will never be forgotten. XOXO
~Heather

We have always been thankful to have apiece of HuggyBear through Skips Dad so many years ago. Our girls were very lucky to grow up in an area where there is so much love. Skip always had a kind word and neverending smile, our world is a better place because we had known such a great man. Whenever I heard fireworks from Fantasy Island, it brought a smile to my face cause yet another happy occasion is being celebrated thanks to Skip. He too will be smiling down at everyone everytime he hears those fireworks...Our love to all - BJ & Terry McAllister and Erin & Morgan families also xoxo

Skip , a gentle man who loved his family and created a spot where all the families could gather and create so many wonderful memories. Every time Chip's family would visit from Maine it had to include a visit to Skip's pond. I remember my Dad going down and just hanging out with Skip. I think they didn't really talk much (neither one were big talkers), just sat together enjoying the view.
My condolences to the family.

To the GREATEST father-in-law a girl could ask for!
These last couple of months have meant so much to me. Our long drives together, you would always share so many stories with me about when you were growing up, the places you went, and the things you did. I hold all those close to my heart and will pass them down to the kids. I was telling Morgan last night the story of the pond and how Maggie everyday would say "what are you digging that hole for?" and you'd say right back "I'll show you when I'm done" and your dad would come up and say "I think that's deep enough" and you'd say "ok" and shut the machines off until he was out of sight and then when you knew he wasn't coming back up, you'd start the machines up again. And when the pond was finished, Mags turned to you and said " Good Job Skip!" All you kept saying to me was "I saw it just like that the whole time in my head." I told the kids, who elses pop-pop builds them a pond so they have a place to go when they want to feel close to him. Yesterday the sun hadn't shined all day until we walked with the kids to the edge of the pond and then the sunshined so brightly onto it as if you were saying " Here's a better look at it for ya!" You have left us all with such great memories! WE LOVE YOU AND WILL MISS YOU ALWAYS!!
Love,
Michelle
P.S. YES I WILL MAKE SURE I PICK THE KIDS UP FROM THE BUS STOP!
