Dad, What can one say about your father except that to me you are and always will be the greatest man that ever lived. You are my hero, my rock and I will miss you every day for the rest of my life. I know you are with mom and Dennis and Uncle Joe now, happy at last but I still want you here. I'm only happy because I know your suffering is over. Please tell mom I miss hwer so, so much but my time will come to be with you all again some day. Until we meet again, I will live my life and try to be happy because you have taught me that life is what you make it. Thank you for everything you have always done for me all my life. Loving you forever.

God saw you were getting tired, and a cure was not to be, so He put His arms around you and whispered, "Come with Me"
With tearful eyes we watched you,and saw you pass away. Although we loved you dearly, We could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best.
"Semper Fidelis" Miss you Jimmy

I am very sorry to hear of Jim's passing. We always had wonderful conversations when he and Millie came to my office over the years and then when he came alone. He missed her terribly and now they are together and happy once again. My prayers are with the family. I will miss him also. Remember the good times.

When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,
When the road you're trudging seems all uphill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit,
Rest, if you must, but don't you quit.
Life is queer with its twists and turns,
As every one of us sometimes learns,
And many a failure turns about,
When he might have won had he stuck it out;
Don't give up though the pace seems slow--
You may succeed with another blow.
Often the goal is nearer than,
It seems to a faint and faltering man,
Often the struggler has given up,
When he might have captured the victor's cup,
And he learned too late when the night slipped down,
How close he was to the golden crown.
Success is failure turned inside out--
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt,
And you never can tell how close you are,
It may be near when it seems so far,
So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit--
It's when things seem worst that you must not quit.

Poppy-
I can't pull together all the thoughts I want to share because I can't imagine saying any last thoughts to you. I know I will always feel your love and presence with me, so I'll just say I love you...and even though we ain't got a barrel of money & may look ragged and funny...
We'll always be side by side.
You are the man that taught me the value of family, friends and life. I am forever grateful for all you shared with me.
Give Nanny a great big hug from me, squeeze her and say from Christine to her 'lil Nanny. Tell her I miss her more than she could imagine and that my Mom and Jolene miss her tons too.
Through my tears and sorrow,I smile knowing you are where you want to be, singing right next to your honey, in the cradle of God's warm embrace. I find peace in knowing you are together and hope to one day join you both. This isn't goodbye, it's an I see ya lata aligata.
I LOVE YOU!
Christine

Poppy, i cannot even believe that im writing to you on here, and not calling you, hearing your voice. Its surreal, and i miss you SO much. Im so glad we got to see each other one last time, and I got to tell you how much you meant to me, how much of a ROCK youve been for us. It means more to me than youd ever know- that we got to sing together one last time. I will NEVER forget how beautiful your voice was.. Im going to miss your stories, all the times youve told us how important it is to stick together, how much LOVE and PEACE you were full of, -the trips back and forth from NY to PA, all the DELICIOUS FOOD you were so proud to make, how you would always thank God for everything- i thank YOU for showing me how important it is to have God in your life. you werent only mine & christines grandfather, but the man id like to say was LIKE A FATHER to us- i love you so much, and all i keep picturing is you with your "honey". I know you & nanny are at peace together again and are watching over us, and im glad you guys got to show us all what true love IS. Sitting here writing this, i keep glancing at the recliner, pretending your there with your hard candies & tea, and saying something wonderful- because you were just that much of a delight, never had ANYTHING negative to say about anyone nor anything. Thank you for everything, for showing us what it means to be strong, to do the right thing, and for ALWAYS embedding in our hearts, FAMILY COMES FIRST. i love you, and i miss you so much.

Death is nothing at all.
It does not count.
I have only slipped away into the next room.
Everything remains as it was.
The old life that we lived so fondly together is untouched, unchanged.
Whatever we were to each other, that we are still.
Call me by the old familiar name.
Speak of me in the easy way which you always used.
Put no sorrow in your tone.
Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes that we enjoyed together.
Play, smile, think of me, pray for me.
Let my name be ever the household word that it always was.
Let it be spoken without effort
Life means all that it ever meant. It is the same as it ever was.
There is unbroken continuity.
Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight?
I am but waiting for you, for an interval, somewhere very near, just around the corner.
All is well. Nothing is hurt; nothing is lost.
One brief moment and all will be as it was before.
How we shall laugh at the trouble of parting, when we meet again.
