Obituary of Althea H. Ulmer

Althea H. Ulmer, age 96, a resident of Ellen Memorial Health Care Center, Honesdale and formerly of Tafton, PA and Edison, PA, died Saturday, January 10, 2015 at Ellen Memorial Health Care Center, Honesdale. Mrs. Ulmer was born February 7, 1918 in Doylestown, PA and was the daughter of the late Dorsey and Cora (Fox) Hager. She was predeceased by her husband, LeRoy Ulmer in Jan. 2013 and a grandson, Kevin Ulmer. She retired as a clerk for Gumble Brothers. Mrs. Ulmer was a member of First Baptist Church in Honesdale and a life member of Tafton Fire Auxiliary. She is survived by one son: John and his wife Carol Ulmer of Hawley, PA; six grandchildren, six great grandchildren and one great great grandchild; one sister: Grace Atler of Warminister, PA; one brother: Stanley Hager of Doylestown, PA. Graveside service will be Thursday, January 15th at 11am at Green Gates Cemetery, Hawley with Pastor Anna Layman Knox. officiating.
