Christina and Stephen and families,
My deepest sympathy on the loss of your mom and grandma. Cathy was the sweetest lady and so bubbly. I remember her fondly from the family gatherings at Janet and Bob's. I can still hear her laughter. I have not seen her in years and was thankful to reconnect through social media.
My the Lord be with you, and bring comfort to you as you mourn your mom.
May fond memories of your mom bring:
healing to your heart,
a smile to your lips,
and laughter to your soul.
You will be in my thoughts and prayers

I did not know Kathy as well as many others, but over time I came to an understanding that she was one of those rare people who truly was a gift from God. She lit up the room when she walked in, bringing with her a smile that was infectious and a nature that was warm and genuine. She loved life, her family and people. That love and her passion shined through in everything she did. Kathy was kind, generous and always willing in to help others. She was a dedicated mother, a loyal friend and a tireless volunteer. She never walked away during difficult times, instead digging in harder to help those who might otherwise be forgotten or abandoned. She was loved and she will be greatly missed. She is with God now and I am sure hard at work, doing what she can to help those she is with.

Angels ( Cherubim, Seraphim and Archangels) are created by God, in service for His glory.
Saints are believers in Christ in whom He dwells and they in Him. Have to do with humility and their service to humankind. Catherine was our saint in so many ways.
A poem for mom
She was different, she was special, unique in a thousand ways. She was giving, she was loving, and we'll miss her all our days. There are those who covet fame and court it like a beau, there are those who covet wealth, kneeling is it's glow, But... she was different...there are some who strive for praise; they yearn for world applause. There are some who chase sweet comfort as their one and only cause, But... she was different. there are some who race for power, sure twill bring them joy, But...she was different...
She knew sorrow in great measure, and was stung by illness too. but neither could defeat her, nothing her faith subdue..and when she heard death coming, she didn't cower in fear, instead she called out boldly, "My Lord I'm over here". I'm going home to be with mother, she told me her eyes aglow, i'll see my dad and brother, they're waiting there I know." Of course the Lord will welcome her, with His angels magnifying the beauty of that celestial place devoid of pain and crying. And so instead of mourning as we remember her this hour. We really should be celebrating the blooming of a flower. But forgive us Lord, for pining, for wishing she were here, It is hard to give up someone we have come to love so dear. Because you see-She was different, she was special, unique in a thousand ways. She was loving, she was giving, and we'll miss her, miss her, miss her, all our days.

I will always remember Cathy as the petite, upbeat, fun loving lady who volunteered much of her time for the betterment of our Fawn Lake Forest community. Cathy was a ray of sunshine always smiling and ready to lend a hand or relay a kind word or prayer. She was an authentically good person who lived life to the fullest and was loved by so many for her generosity, thoughtfulness and kindness. Her wisdom and caring helped me through some difficult times and for that I am so grateful and glad to have known her and call her my friend. God has called her home but her legacy will live on in the hearts of those that loved her. My heartfelt condolences and prayers go out to her family and many friends as they grieve her loss. She will be sorely missed.

This is so sad to hear. I worked with Cathy (As well as Stephen) for a number of years at Direct Media where I still am employed today. She was a bright light in the office and I can still hear her laughter. Anyone who remembers her feels the same. My sincere and heartfelt condolences to her entire family. Heaven welcomed another angel.

I don't know how to do this. You taught me everything to make me the person I am. You taught 4 kids to ride bikes. You were fearless and my hero. You traveled the world and across the US.
You never taught me how to live with out you. I love you and miss you so very much.
