Obituary of John R. Zunic

JOHN ZUNIC passed away on October 12, 2018 at his home in Hawley, Pa.  John was the owner of Jay-Zee Fence Company in Bensalem, Bucks County until his retirement.  Born in Philadelphia, John was a resident of Bucks County for 45 years until retiring to Hawley, Pa.

John loved playing softball in his earlier years with the Sampson Fence crew as well as Volleyball, shooting pool and the game of chess.  John was always very willing to assist someone in need, whether it was mechanical, maintenance or painting a room at a moments notice.  He once built a very large tree house for his step grandchildren Brian and Kevin that was so far up the tree we could not believe it.   He was an outdoors kind of guy, loving to work on his property with his tractor and chain saw.  He would run errands for the elderly or take them to the hospital when asked.

He was a loving husband to his wife of 32 years, Jacqueline Zunic who preceded him in death.

He will be sadly missed by his step daughter Sandra Cumbo and her husband Tony, his two step grandchildren and their wives, Brian and Kelly Cumbo and Kevin and Colene Cumbo and his two step great grandchildren, Michael and Matthew.  He leaves his companion of his later years, Louise Kolinofsky and her family.

He also leaves behind many beloved in-laws, nieces and nephews from the Mason family and the beloved members of his biological family, Francis, Theresa, James and Larry Collins

John will be fondly remembered for his good nature and genuine concern for others, including animals, his willingness to assist anyone in need, and the love and devotion he showed to his family and friends.

Funeral Services will be held at the St Thomas Aquinas Chapel in Croydon Pa. on November 10, 2018 at 10:30 am.
