Dear Family of Alvina Barton; My husband and I met George and Alvina while on a trip to the Bahamas in 1994. We had a nice visit, and exchanged addresses. Joe and I have received and sent Christmas cards to your Mom for all of these years. She let us know when George passed, and always wrote a little note, updating us on her family and any interesting news in her life. This was the first Christmas we did not receive a card. I decided to look online, and found her obituary. We want to express our deepest sympathy, in your loss. I enjoyed watching the video of her photographs. I lost my parents in 95 and 96. Joe lost his in 98 and 2000. Life is not the same with them gone, and my heart goes out to your family. God bless- Marie and Joe Longo, Montague, MI

Alvina was my cousin. My father and her mother were sister and brother. We spent our retirement years together and had many special memories. She was a wonderful daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and cousin. She will always be in our hearts and we will miss her.
