I can remember the very first day I met Bill, he was so quiet. The quiet part didn’t last long though. There was just something about him, it didn’t take long for a bond to form between us. I was no longer just his caregiver and he my patient, we became part of each others family. I’d go into work at 6 am and here him “hello” id just chuckle as I walked to his room I’d say good morning papa bear he’d laugh and say It’s a more Gooder morning now that your here. As time went on my daughters would visit him along with my grandchildren, I’ll never forget how his face lit up when he held baby Alena. We had many great adventures together dad, Eric and I. Driving all over looking for airports, skydivers, back roads and who could forget food. I’d talk there ears off as usual. I’ll never forget him and all the great memories that were made along our journey.

I enjoyed visiting with Bill at Wayne Woodlands when I would go to visit my wife Margie. Margie, Bill and I would often chat for some time. I gave him the Nickname "Sub" in honor of his service in the submarines in the Navy.He will be missed by many people at "the Woodlands". He was a very special person to us.

Bill was my best friend from the time we met in 1957 at the USO in Philadelphia. I was a hostess and he was the "older" man in the dinner jacket with the cummerbund. He really knew how to turn heads and to dance.
Bill was best man at my first wedding and later my second husband's best bud.
There are so many stories I could share about this gentleman.
About the time he and Joe took the kayak down the Delaware without paddles and took 4 hours coming back paddling with their hands. Or the time on Blue Lake when they dug the rock out of the swimming area and spent two days trying to get the mud off of themselves. Or the time they forgot to open the draft on the wood stove and nearly smoked us out then set the vacuum on fire trying to clean out the stove.
I could go on all day about Bill and the fun we had over the years.
I know he is in heaven with my Joe arguing over who is older.
God rest his soul.
