Obituary of Frederic Nemac

Frederic Nemac, a long time resident of Lakeville, PA. died Tuesday, December 21st, 2021 at his home, surrounded by his beloved family. “Fred” Frederic Nemac, born in Queens, NY on November 10th, 1949, was the son of the late Francis and Elizabeth Nemac. Fred is survived by his loving, devoted wife of 48 years - Leona, their two daughters - Suzanne and Thea, two grandchildren - Gia and Wyatt, a son-in-law - Woody, loyal brother - David Hohfeler, many nieces and nephews too. He was preceded in death by siblings - his brother Frank and sister Nancy. He was charter and lifetime member, as well as former fire chief of the Lakeville Volunteer Fire Company 18. He worked and owned a construction business, was a laborer and industry certified building code inspector - working previously with Paupack Township and recently with Honesdale Borough. True-blue and selfless - Fred was dedicated to his family and community. He was an avid and passionate outdoorsmen, lifetime NRA member, and number one fan of the band “The Eagles.” He was the best-loved husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and “Opa.” Private services will proceed by family with future public services and interment in Lakeville Cemetery in Spring for relatives and friends.
