I remember my brother Vic as a young boy always exploring in the woods with other boys. They found a puppy shivering on a cold winter day. He brought him home and pleaded with Mom to keep him. That puppy became our first family dog named Butch. He had many dogs in his lifetime and loved them all.
I remember sledding in the winter with him and the neighborhood friends and having snowball fights. And in the summer nights playing cowboys and Indians in our yard.
When he got older, I remember him making this beautiful bow and arrows to go with it. He bent the wood just so and it came out perfect. He was so talented. He could fix things and adapt things to make it work and was very good at details.
He started painting when he retired and did a beautiful job. I have two of his paintings hanging in my kitchen where I can look at them everyday.
I will miss him.
