Obituary of Wendy Marion Schaffer

Wendy Marion Schaffer, age 53, of Hawley died Saturday, June 17, 2023, at Wayne Memorial Hospital, Honesdale. Born October 25, 1969, in Bethlehem, and raised in Blooming Grove, Wendy was the daughter of the late Thomas Arthur and Joyce M. (Longhenry) Schaffer. She was a graduate of Wallenpaupack Area High School, Class of 1987. Wendy was certified surgical technician and medical assistant at Honesdale Orthopedics. Wendy enjoyed riding her motorcycle and spending time with her family. She was devoted to her beloved cats, Luna, Salem and Willow. She was a member of BVM Queen Of Peace Roman Catholic Church, Hawley. She is survived by her family members: Paula and Robert Lasky, John Longhenry and family, Jessica and Robert Palumbo and family, Jason Lasky and family, Jamie Longhenry and family and Paul Cooper. There will be a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM on Monday, June 26, 2023, at BVM Queen Of Peace Roman Catholic Church, 314 Chestnut Ave, Hawley celebrated by Rev. Richard W. Beck, Pastor. Interment will be at a future date at Lords Valley Cemetery, Lords Valley.
