One of Artie's missions was to feed stray cats. There were loads of cat's on our block and he fed them whenever we were not there. He was always busy helping people in the area. A kind, sweet man who we had the pleasure to know for years. Rest in peace Art. You are truly missed.

We will absolutely miss Art. He was a caring person, and a great neighbor. For the past 15 years he was a part of our lives and we appreciated all that he did for us. His absence is already felt deeply.

The community will never be the same without seeing Artie cutting up wood and somehow managing to carry it all in his car. He was so much stronger then he looked.
He was such a sweet man and always willing to help out or give advise, like how i should try watering my plants if i wanted them to stay alive..lol. Also how he loved the many cats he took care of. He helped so many of them with his kindness.
His smiling face will be missed by so many.
Rest in Peace dear Artie.....

My husband and I have known Artie for the past 16 years, and were deeply saddened by his sudden passing. We came together because of our mutal desire to help the feral cats in our community, and we worked together, happily, to get many of the cats spayed and neutered. Artie was one of the kindest, most gentle and caring people we have every known. He never had an unkind word to say about anyone, and he was always willing to help his friends and neighbors in anyway that he could. He will be terribly missed by all of us that knew and loved him.
Dear Artie, if you are reading this, please know that all of your cats will continue to be cared for in your honor.
With our heartfelt sympathy for Glenn, Jovie, and Ned,
Rolland & Jan Grote

I am deeply saddened. by the unexpected loss of my dear friend and former collogue Arthur Sturm. Arthur and I shared a thirty-year professional relationship as well as a lasting friendship which got better with time. He had a natural ability with computers and was one the most tech-savvy professionals I ever worked with. I met Arthur in 1991 when I was a project director in the research department at the National Center for Disability Services in Albertson Long Island. He did a great job updating the computer in our office and has assisted me with data management for other research projects I have worked on over the years. I will always remember his kindness, compassion, generosity and willingness to help other people especially those facing difficult physical and emotional challenges in their lives. I will miss him a great deal and want to send my sincere condolences to his family at this time of loss.
With Sympathy
