Annette S. Young, age 66, of Paradise Point, Lakeville, died Friday, February 2, 2024 at home. She is survived by her husband, Colin J. Young. Born August 18, 1957, in Paterson, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Albert Joseph and Marjorie B. (Bullwinkel) Schmidlin. Annette was a graduate of Wallenpaupack Area High School, The University of Bridgeport, and earned her MBA from The University of Scranton. Prior to her retirement, she worked as a network engineer on various Government and Department of Defense contracts. Annette was passionate about sewing, live theatre and parrots. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her brother, Richard Schmidlin and his wife Francesca; her sister, Linda Weeks and her husband Tom; and her nephew, Joseph Weeks; as well as three generations of cousins. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to: Project Perry Inc., The Central Virginia Parrot Sanctuary, P.O. Box 1208, Louisa, VA 23093. A Memorial Service will be held at 2 PM, Saturday, April 20, 2024, at Teeters’ East Chapel, 505 Church St., Hawley, PA. Visitation will be held immediately prior beginning at 1 PM. Inurnment will follow the service at Lakeville Cemetery.
