Sean was a much beloved nephew. As a baby and young child he always had a happy and cute smile. At the Christmas parties he and his brothers could be found at the table eating chips,celery and carrots because they LOVED onion dip! He was always happy to run and play with his cousins and have fun at the pool or throw a ball, (not always where you wanted,ha,ha). When Sean became a solider as many of his family have, and demonstrated his love for his country, we were all so proud of the fact that he was willing to make the sacrifices that go along with that commitment. He loved his wife and his family very much and he will forever be remembered as a loving nephew, husband ,son and an American hero. Love you!!Aunt Kathy and Uncle Clyde

Spent many Saturdays at the Hawley Library with Sean playing DnD. He was funny, friendly and a great person to hang out with. He is already missed by many people and remembered fondly. My deepest sympathy to Family and Friends.

I had very little interaction with SSG Burke in the 1-111th as I am relatively new to the unit, but every time I saw him, he was in a cheerful mood. He personally helped me during a night qualification and was very encouraging, also providing helpful advice on how I could improve. When he was with his buddies, he was constantly joking around and trying to improve their morale. SSG Burke was a good leader/soldier and a credit to his nation.
