Obituary of Florence E. Callaghan

Florence E. Callaghan, age 88, of Hawley, died Saturday, January 1, 2005, at home.
Born September 2, 1916, in Hawley, PA, she was the daughter of the late Felix and Mary (Nino) Sartori. He was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Daniel A. Callaghan, in 1996.
She was a graduate of Hawley High School and Westchester State Teachers College, and also attended East Stroudsburg State Teachers College. She was a 4th Grade Elementary School Teacher for Hawley And Wallenpaupack Schools, prior to her retirement in 1987. She was a member of Queen of Peace RC Church, as well as a member of its Prayer Group. She had been a longtime bowler also.
She is survived by one son: Daniel A. Callaghan, Jr. of Mountaintop, PA; one sister: Ellen J. McGinnis of Hawley, PA; four grandchildren: Sean, Patrick, Evan & Daniella; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at TEETERS' East Chapel, 505 Church St, Hawley, PA. The Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday at 10:00 AM at Queen Of Peace Roman Catholic Church, 319 Chestnut Ave, Hawley, with by Rev. William B. Healey, Pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Queen Of Peace Cemetery, Hawley.
